Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Career Hub (BECH-RUSA 2.0), Bharathidasan
University, Tiruchirapalli and Confederation of Knowledge Facilitators (CKF),
Chennai have jointly organized “National Convention on Academic Knowledge Centres”
– a 2 days event on creating Entrepreneurship & Employability Skills for
the youth on 23rd & 24th October 2021. The knowledge
facilitators across the nation had participated in the convention.
Dr. M. Selvam,
Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Bharathidasan University has inaugurated the national
convention and emphasized the importance of uplifting the youth by upgrading
with current industrial trends that will enable a successful career growth.
The Chief Guest
Dr. A. Sankara Subramanian, Chairman, Indian Society for Technical Education
& Principal, GRG Polytechnic College said “It’s time to prepare the youth
on industry-ready rather interview ready”
Dr. S. Senthilanathan, Director (FAC), UGC –
Human Resource Development Centre has graced the valediction of the national
convention and mentioned the transformation of working world from learn for a
job to learn on the job and now learn throughout the job which demands one to
be continuous learner.
The key aspect
of the convention was the opportunity provided for the Transgender to become as
a Knowledge Facilitator as part of aiming an inclusive society. A unique and
first of its kind initiative of CKF has opened the doors for a new dignified
career for many aspiring transgender. The Rane Brake Lining Limited had
extended their CSR support in encouraging this bold attempt.
Ms. Nila, one of
the Transgender participants of the convention had expressed “Transwoman are
blessed with strength of men and kindness of women but skills are better than
strengths”
