Mega Job Fair

Bharathidasan University Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Career Hub, Placement & Training Cell, Bharathidasan University, Thiruchirappalli District Administration, Thiruchirappalli District Employment Office, Tamil Nadu Open University, Jamal Mohamed College and the Equitas Small Finance Bank jointly organised a Mega Job Fair 2020 on 15^th March, 2020 at Jamal Mohamed College, Tiruchirappalli. A total number of 102 companies from various parts of South India and 4,461 candidates participated in the Job Fair. The candidates were put through different types of selection processes like Aptitude Tests, Group Discussions and Personal Interviews by prospective employers. A total number of 1171 candidates including 12 Differently Abled Persons were selected and issued offer letters on the spot at the Mega Job Fair, while another 2188 candidates were shortlisted for further selection processes in the respective companies’ offices.

 Mr. Vellamandi N. Natarajan, Minister of Tourism, Government of Tamil Nadu asked the students to make best use of such job fairs and other initiatives that will secure a good career and a bright future for them. The minister took great interest and distributed offer letters to the students placed in the mega job fair and personally congratulated the successful differently abled candidates. Mr. S.Sivarasu IAS, District Collector, Thiruchirappalli District, Dr.K.Parthasarathy, Vice-Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Open University, Dr. G.Gopinath, Registrar, Bharathidasan University, Dr.M.Ravichandran, Director (i/c) BECH-RUSA 2.0, Bharathidasan University, and Dr.N.Prasanna, Coordinator, Placement and Training Cell & Deputy Director (i/c) BECH-RUSA 2.0, Bharathidasan University participated in the event and issued offer letters to the successful candidates. Mr. V. Subramanian, Deputy Director,  District Employment and Career Guidance Centre, Thiruchirappalli, Mr. A.Kalaichelvan, District Employment Officer(Career Guidance), Dr. A.K. Khaja Nizamudeen Sahib, Correspondent, Jamal Mohammed College, Tiruchirappalli, Dr. S.Ismail Mohideen, Principal, Jamal Mohammed College, Tiruchirappalli, , Mr.K.Venkatesh, Manager, Equitas Small Finance Mr.M.S.Gunasekhar, Placement Manager, Equitas Small Finance and various government Officials also participated in the Mega Job Fair.
