Dr. C. Prahalathan, Asst. Prof., Dept. of Biochemistry, BDU on 15.10.2019 (Tuesday).
He said that BECH aims to inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation
and skill development in the curriculum for students enabling them to become
entrepreneurs as well as increasing their employability in the job market. He
stated that by increasing the skills of the students through initiatives such
as skill development Programme, BECH aims to reduce the gap between the skills
possessed by the students and the skill set required from them by various
prospective employers. He asked the students to find their own unique talent,
increase their skills and also to think innovative so that they can get
innovative ideas and become successful entrepreneurs. He said that apart from
the skill development programme, BECH will also provide seed development fund to the
start-ups by students and also provide them with internship opportunities and
post-doctoral fellowships if their proposals are found fit. He said that BECH
will act as a guide to students for designing projects, finding sources for investment
and to get financial aids and loans if their project proposals are accepted.
